2026 Rural Fire Show Rescheduled for December 5

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Arkansas Department of Agriculture and the Arkansas Rural and Volunteer Firefighters Association have rescheduled the 2026 Rural Fire Show to Saturday, December 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Conway Expo and Event Center.

The event, traditionally held in early October, has been postponed due to increased wildfire activity across the state. Rescheduling to December ensures that rural and volunteer fire departments can remain fully available for response efforts during this period of heightened wildfire risk.

The Rural Fire Show is a free annual event that recognizes Arkansas firefighters and their families for the vital service and protection they provide. Attendees will have access to training sessions, equipment demonstrations, informational resources, networking opportunities, and more than 45 vendors. A catered lunch and door prizes will also be provided.

“Rural and volunteer firefighters play a crucial role as the first line of defense when wildfires threaten Arkansas’ communities and forests,” said State Forester Kyle Cunningham. “Their unwavering commitment and service are fundamental to our fire response efforts, and the Rural Fire Show is our way of expressing appreciation, while also equipping them with training, resources, and ongoing support.”

All firefighters are invited to attend. To RSVP, email [email protected]. More information about the Rural Fire Protection Program is available on the Department’s website here.
